Pediatric Nutrition Exam, Gerontological Nutrition Exam, Oncology Nutrition Exam and Renal Nutrition Exam Study Guide

The Pediatric Nutrition Exam, Gerontological Nutrition Exam, Oncology Nutrition Exam and Renal Nutrition Exam offered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) certify successful candidates as a Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition (CSP), in Gerontological Nutrition (CSG), in Oncology Nutrition (CSO), or in Renal Nutrition (CSR).

To qualify to sit for all four of the exams, a candidate needs to be a current registered dietician (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), and to have accumulated at least 2,000 hours in their particular specialty. In addition the CDR requires them to carry the RD status for a minimum of 2 years from the original exam date.

The tests cover a variety of topics centered on the basic skills needed to achieve proper results in the industry. Candidates should know the laws, regulations, procedures, mechanics, and knowledge base of their particular specialty area.
